About Us
Find Therapy is a counselling service based in East London, United Kingdom. We are a professional team of highly trained, experienced, committed and passionate counsellors, and assessors who ensure our clients experience a smooth, seamless transition from initial contact and assessment to therapy.
The team uses tried and tested, client-led, person-centred, integrative, psychodynamic counselling and coaching approaches in their work. Team members receive regular individual, peer and group supervision to ensure that the high quality of the counselling and client services are maintained.

F i n d Therapy aims to come alongside people struggling with emotional, mental, behavioural and relational challenges. We aim to work collaboratively to find appropriate solutions that meet specific needs.
Our client base includes young people and adults from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, faith groups, race, gender and abilities, from the local and wider London community.
Each counsellor has a specialisms and areas of expertise, that enable them to work with clients to resolve issues such as identity, fear, bereavement, low self-esteem, abuse, trauma, addictions, and inner conflicts over their belief systems. We empower people to find, at their own pace, more holistic pathways, to healthier living.

F I N D Therapy subscribes to the Christian ethos and our work is driven by our Christian philosophy to treat our clients with respect, empathy and compassion. We seek to be congruent and transparent in our approach. However, we do not provide a “Christian counselling” service.

Our Team

David: David A is a retired Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) and social worker.
Ingrid T: Ingrid T is a qualified mental health nurse and clinical psychologist.
David and Ingrid T are the assessors within the team. They assess the eligibility of prospective clients by asking questions related to risk, mental and physical health, and social circumstances. They work with the rest of the team to make a determination on whether a prospective client will benefit from support from the service.

Linda: Linda believes in helping people to find their own solutions to the issues they face. She volunteered at a rehab and during her training did a placement in Bereavement Counselling Service at an East London Hospital for 10 years. Within the community, she has been counselling for almost 20 years. Over the years she has come alongside Trainee Counsellors as they developed their skills and craft. She also has been part of the Senior Management Team at City Gates Counselling Service.
Ingrid A: Ingrid A is a trained integrative therapist. While volunteering for Victim Support, Ingrid A trained to support clients who experienced Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. After qualifying, she worked for a year for Place2be in a primary school once a week counselling children who were experiencing a number of challenges. Her interest is working with clients who suffered trauma, in particular women who are experiencing or fleeing domestic abuse. Ingrid A has also been part of the Senior Management Team at City Gates Counselling Service.
Sackey: Sackey is an Integrative Counsellor and Coach with over five years experience of working in both the private and non-profit sectors, including City Gates Counselling Service. Sackey uses elements from other counselling approaches in his work, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person Centred Counselling and Psychodynamic Therapy. He has a special interest in coming alongside clients struggling with anxiety, depression and relationship problems to help them find effective solutions. A graduate of the University of East London (UEL), Sackey is also a qualified coach who works with clients to achieve their personal and career goals. His specialism is the UEL's flagship Personal Consultancy programme, a "one-stop-shop" model that integrates counselling and coaching, and is aimed at helping clients resolve their inner conflicts, develop and improve their personal lives.
Mirna: As a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, Mirna specialises in supporting young adults aged 16 to 35, providing compassionate, personalised care that honours each individual’s unique experiences and backgrounds, with extensive experience guiding clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. Her approach is collaborative and client-centered, fostering a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, respected, and valued. Together, she wants to address challenges such as childhood trauma and relationship issues, working toward meaningful growth and healing at every step of the journey.
Ugne: Ugne is a qualified counsellor with more than two years of experience working with clients that have experienced relational difficulties and trauma.
Ruth: Ruth Abban is an Integrative Psychotherapist, who works in private practice with young people and adults via an intersectional, intercultural and Systemic lens. She has several years of clinical experience in children and young people's charities and counselling organisations, alongside having worked in management, including for the UK’s leading Racial Equity consultancy, MA Consultancy Ltd. Ruth works with a wide range of areas, including her specialisms of Adultification Bias, Intersectionality, Racial Identity and Racial Trauma. She also works as a Clinical Supervisor, and provides Racial Equity consulting for various organisations.
